XI Vintage is a startup that has emerged amidst the pandemic in Hong Kong. It aims to introduce the classic scooter culture in Asia, with a focus on Hong Kong, which has been gaining popularity worldwide as a hub for scootering enthusiasts, collectors and purveyors. XI Vintage believes in preserving the iconic DNA of classic scooters while upgrading them to modern-day standards for safer and more comfortable rides.
The name "Eleven Vintage" signifies the company's commitment to going above and beyond in creating perfect builds. Sourcing vehicles from all over the world, XI Vintage restores them with the finest available off-the-shelf parts and customised technological and performance upgrades. The end result is a timeless, meticulously detailed, and highly sought-after investment vehicle.
XI Vintage takes on bespoke project builds based on clients' initial ideas, sourced vehicles, and ideal upgrades. These classic vehicles are built for any road and can take anywhere between six months to two years to complete, given the current Covid-related supply chain issues. The company is also the leading SIP supplier, sourcing new and upgraded scooter parts from Europe, and scours the world for artisans to produce vintage elements to meet client-specific requirements.
XI Vintage has recently launched a website that showcases their recent projects, exemplifying their light touch approach, which utilises local and overseas artisans to help complete the final elements of the projects. The company plans to announce the XI Vintage launch event soon and intends to participate in the 2022 Hong Kong motorcycle show to exhibit their electric Vespa "V-Tronic", VBB "Bullet" inspired by Steven McQueen, and an exciting "dark horse" from their family of builds, known as "Bomber".
Moreover, XI Vintage is known for its collaborations with entities that wish to align themselves with Italian style icons. The company is currently working on enhancing bespoke scooters for discerning collectors, corporate events, and in-location displays, leading the renaissance in original styled vehicle design.
XI Vintage's founders include Dickie Fowler, a long-time HK resident, and a Vespa enthusiast since the age of 15, Neil Arrowsmith, a banking executive and scooter lover with a noteworthy passion and an inextricable link to these iron ladies.
As a founding partner of Eleven Vintage, www.xivintage.com, we were delighted to be invited to host this year's charity ride in Hong Kong in support of men's mental health and colon cancer charities. The event was a success, with a great turnout and a smooth ride through the streets. We are already planning for the 2024 edition, with new routes and a potential festival attached to the start/finish location. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
